The Good Guys Home Services makes repairing household appliances easy.
Whether you bought your appliance from The Good Guys or not, we can repair it. Just explain the problem to one of our technicians and they’ll arrange a repair assessment for a fixed $179 callout. We’re here to help you get the best outcome, so if it turns out that replacing your appliance is a better option, we’ll give you $100 credit to spend in store within 90 days of the date of issue. It’s a win-win!

Repair assessment and call out is $179, and we’ll do everything we can to get your appliance up and running as quickly as possible. But if it’s better to replace it all together, you'll get $100 credit to spend at any The Good Guys Store within 90 days of the date of issue.
Before you get in touch, double check that your appliance isn’t already covered by Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Head over to www.accc.gov.au to find out more.
If your appliance isn’t eligible for repair under ACL, get in touch on 1300 748 190. We’ll answer any questions, confirm that you’re within our coverage area*, book your repair assessment and take your payment.
Once you’ve booked your assessment, we’ll give you a call^ to work out the finer details of your appliance repair. If necessary, we can send one of our technicians to carry out an in-home assessment.
If our repair technician is confident that your appliance can be fixed in 15 minutes, with no extra parts, they’ll repair it for you then and there at no extra cost. If it looks like the job might take a little longer, they’ll work out a quote listing new parts and labour before they start. From then, you can choose whether you’d like to go ahead.
If replacement is the only option, or if you choose not to go ahead with the repair, you'll receive $100 Replacement Credit to spend at The Good Guys. You can use your credit in store or online, just as long as you spend it in a single transaction within 90 days of the date of issue.
*The Good Guys Home Services offers repairs and assessments nationally, however some exclusions may apply for remote locations.Please call 1300 748 190 to confirm availability in your area.
**Customers will be contacted by The Good Guys Home Services Appliance Repair Team within approximately 30 minutes of purchasing the service. This applies Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm AEST. Appliance repair services purchased outside business hours will receive an assessment call the following business day.
Once the payment has been processed, our experienced technicians will start working on your problem straight away. To save you time, they will investigate based on your description of the issue in relation to the brand and model of the appliance affected. In most cases, they will be in touch within 4 business hours. If required, an in-home assessment will be scheduled on a convenient date.
Yes, you will still have to pay if one of our experienced technicians investigates and resolves your issue over the phone. We will, however, send you a The Good Guys Replacement product Credit to spend in one of The Good Guys stores or online.
You can spend your store credit online or in-store at The Good Guys, in a single transaction before the specified expiry date, which will be 90 days from the date of issue.
Once onsite, our experienced technician will complete the appliance assessment and if required, prepare a quote for additional charges including labour or parts. If the technician can repair your product on the day, you will receive a notification via email/SMS immediately which will include a link to make payment of the additional charges. Payment will be required before we can proceed (please note; quotes may not be available to you on the day due to part costs/availability, this will be provided to you via email/SMS as soon as possible). If you believe the charges for repair are not viable you can reject the quote by advising the technician/agent. A replacement product credit will then be issued to you via SMS within 24 hours.
If your technician can repair the product on the day, your quote will need to be accepted and paid for in order to complete the work required. If parts need to be ordered, you will need to accept and make payment so as not to delay the ordering process.
Our experienced Appliance Assessment and Repair Team will consider costs and wherever possible, provide you with an indication of repair costs on the first call. Assuming we can arrange a suitable technician and time with you, an in-home assessment will be completed within 3 business days*. In some cases, where our experienced technical team can accurately determine the issue and likely costs quickly over the phone, you may decide that repair isn't viable. If this happens, and you’d prefer to replace your appliance as quickly and conveniently as possible, we'll help you by providing a Replacement Product Credit to help get you get back up and running sooner.
All works completed by The Good Guys Home Services Appliance Repair Team are guaranteed for 12 months, please refer to the terms and conditions located at https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/concierge/appliance-repairs-and-assessments for more information. The guarantee applies to the specific repair work carried out, or replacement parts provided, which can be found on the tax invoice sent via email once repair has been completed.
