Now that the winter chills are setting in, what could be better than a multitude of delicious, home-cooked meals, minus the legwork! Introducing the gadget that’s sure to satisfy your creature comforts this winter - fast, quick and full of ideas - meet the Tefal Cook4Me Touch
Not only can this nifty little gadget cook up meals incredibly quickly, but it has the ability to download single recipes or even recipe packs from the designated Cook4Me app on your smartphone,* and via Bluetooth provide step-by-step instructions directly on the appliance’s screen. Not to mention, the My Cook4Me app has access to hundreds of recipes, including dozens of brand new recipe releases every month, making dinner an easy task!
To kick-off the dinspo we’ve compiled Tefal’s 5 best rated recipes from the My Cook4Me app, that are guaranteed to satisfy your winter-comfort cravings.
The ultimate winter soup recipe, you can enjoy this as a starter, lunch or light-bite dinner.
Ingredients for 4 people: 1 tbsp olive oil, 150g trimmed sliced leek, 1 crushed garlic clove, 2 tsp finely chopped rosemary leaves, 400g peeled diced (2cm) potato, 750ml chicken or vegetable stock, 2 tbsp cream (to serve)
Method:
Prepare the ingredients: slice the leek, dice the potato and crush the garlic.
Pre-heat your Cook4Me pot and add oil.
Brown leeks for 1 minute then add garlic and rosemary. Stir constantly.
Add remaining ingredients and stir well to combine.
Pressure cooking time = 10 min.
Mash or blend until smooth. Season to taste and serve!
This pressure cooker chicken recipe is full of Mediterranean flavours and perfect for a delicious, quick fix.
Ingredients for 4 people: 1 tbsp olive oil, 200g peeled chopped onion, 250g diced chicken thigh fillets, 300g arborio rice, 3 tbsp basil pesto, 750ml chicken stock, 150g cherry tomatoes (chopped to serve), 1/2 cup of parmesan (grated to serve)
Prepare the ingredients: chop the onion and dice the chicken thigh fillets.
Brown onions and chicken for 2-3 minutes. Add rice and stir to coat.
Add pesto and stock. Stir well to combine.
Stir through grated parmesan and cherry tomatoes. Season to taste and serve.
A simple spin on a curry classic! This pressure cooker beef recipe is just as delicious as it looks.
Ingredients for 4 people: 1.5 tbsp canola oil, 150g peeled sliced onion, 700g diced (2.5cm) chuck steak, 1/3 cup of Massaman curry paste, 250ml coconut cream, 500g peeled diced (2cm) potato, 4 cups of steamed rice (to serve)
Prepare the ingredients: chop the onion, slice the steak and dice the potatoes.
Brown onion and meat for 3 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.
Pressure cooking time = 20 min.
Season to taste and serve with steamed rice!
Pressure cooker lamb shanks are rich, tender and full of flavour! Not to mention, they’re almost guaranteed to impress your family and friends, yet super simple to make.
Ingredients for 4 people: 1.5 tbsp olive oil, 4 Frenched lamb shanks (320g per lamb shank), 150g finely chopped onion, minced garlic clove, 150g diced (1cm) carrot, 75g diced (1cm) celery, 800g canned diced tomatoes with herbs, 2 tbsp parsley (to serve), 400g of mashed potatoes (to serve)
Prepare the ingredients: finely chop the onion, dice the carrots and celery and mince the garlic.
Brown shanks in batches for 3-5 min.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir well. For 6 people, cook in two batches with half of the other ingredients.
Pressure cooking time = 40 min.
Season to taste and serve with mashed potato!
And last but definitely not least, this molten chocolate pudding is the epitome of winter recipe goodness! Indulge in its fluffy outer layer and gooey centre, while you snuggle up on the couch to watch your favourite winter-time movies.
Ingredients for 4 people: 100g plain chocolate (70% cocoa solids) broken into pieces, 50g butter, 2 eggs, 100g caster sugar, 65g plain flour, 4 heatproof 8cm ramekins
Prepare the ingredients: measure out quantities and break the chocolate into pieces.
Melt chocolate and butter in a separate bowl, cool slightly. Beat the eggs, sugar and flour using an electric mixer.
Fill ramekins, cover with foil and secure. Put 2 to 4 ramekins in steaming basket with 300ml water in bowl.
Pressure cooking time = 12 min.
Serve with centres molten and gooey. Serve!
