Tplink 2K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit - Wide survelance area, detects movement instantly, high definition images day and night
So glad I bought the Tplink 2K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit. I was looking for a security flood light, the two main feature that I wanted was solar power and local storage with no requirement to connect to a monitoring service. This light had both and more. It was easy to mount the unit and the solar, with the option to attach the solar panel to the unit or to mount it elsewhere. The included connection lead is a good length so that the solar panel can be mounted can be mounted in the ideal position to get maximum sun exposure, even if it is a distance from the position of the unit. the unit can be attached to a wall gutter or pole. When I received the the box the battery was charged but I still connected it via USB to make sure it was fully charged before mounting it. The battery life is great, I didn't connect the solar for about three weeks and the battery was still at 98%. This gives peace of mind that if for any reason there was an issue with the solar, it would still operate for quite a long period with no loss of protection. The camera picks up any motion instantly, it was detecting the slightest movement of a small plant in its peripheral vision, moving in the breeze, reassuring that any movement of a human would be instantly detected. Once I changed the setting in the app, it stopped and only detected human motion and sent instant alerts to my phone without any lags. The vision and recorded images are crystal clear day and night. The light is bright and the camera has a good field of vision and range of motion, easily tested and adjusted via the phone app to exactly where you want. It follows movement smoothly, the camera always directly on the subject with no loss of vision. With the shape and movement of the camera, the movements, sideways and up and down, as it follows movement, reminds me of a little robot, specifically Wall-E lol. Tapo provides a month free storage and monitoring service that can be cancelled at any time, this gives you time to purchase and install a micro sd card (not included) if that's what you prefer. The only con in my opinion is that the sd card slot is on the underside of the camera where it can be easily seen and removed by a potential intruder. I think it would be better if it was located on the back of the camera. As the camera follows the movement the rear of the camera it would never be seen, an intruder would never know it was there, unless they already knew where it was. Aside from that one small con I am very pleased that I chose to purchase the Tplink 2K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit over all of the others that I researched. I am really impressed with its performance, I honestly cant fault it. Even though the review states that I may have received some form of incentive, I can assure you that I haven't at the time of writing, this is my true and honest opinion and recommendation for the Tplink 2K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit.

Great camera and easy install
Was a nice change to have a camera easily installed on the outside of the house. The spot light is very bright and can illuminate pretty far atleast 30m. This is good especially the big bulk providing the battery power to last all day without having to worry about power loss. The solar panel was also easy to install and adjust, the in app stats showed the camera didnt use much of the battery at all, and i do have it on 24/7frame recording as well as all motion detection on. The expandable micro sd slot was a bonus, store footage locally and no need for a hub. Just stand-alone app to view and operate the camera. Was quite happy with it and the detection is very good. Would buy a second on no doubt
