Another big design trend we're seeing in kitchens this year? Timber elements and textures. 

“To get the look, focus on organic, raw and natural finishes in various components throughout your kitchen, from your cabinetry to benchtops,” says Alisa Fraser from Kinsman.

“Touches of timber will add instant warmth, while white joinery and earthy quartz benchtops all sync well with this nature-inspired trend. Amplify your aesthetic with stainless steel cooking appliances that will play beautifully against all those light timber textures.”

2024 is also the year to push design boundaries. “Some stunning looks to consider this year are statement tiles in warm beige, greens, blues and russet,” says Jane Thomson. Feminine curved profiles will star, as well as classic herringbone, basket weave and subway patterns. The perfect finishing touch? Gleaming tapware and sleek kitchen sinks.
